Macquarie University Library: Old vs New

To sum up our blog: The architectural transformation of the Macquarie University Library.

Wall Decals

Found these amazing removable wall stickers. They really make a dull room/space come to life. I've noticed that these decals do not work so well in small or congested spaces. They are best used in larger spaces or rooms with minimal clutter.

Many companies that produce these removable wall stickers can customise the design to suit the customers needs. You can vary them in sizes or colours etc.

They are a brilliant idea, especially if you don't want anything permanent on your wall. These can be moved from one wall to another without too much work. I would be careful to read instructions before doing so, as you do not want to damage your paint.

The photo frame decals are again ingenious. Theres no need to drill hinges on the walls to hang large frames and again they are easily moved or adjusted if crooked.

Here are some cute ones for the kids rooms. They are just absolutely gorgeous! Which kid wouldn't want these in their rooms?

We are beginners, obviously. If you wish to have a look how professional interior design blogs look like, press here . Definitely, we're in a long way to get the similar results. Well, the the aim is clear for us now ... :)

Happy Easter (Egg)

To celebrate Easter and me just sitting at home doing nothing, I thought I'd post up a really cool modern design I found - a multifunction room with egg exterior design. It is called the Blob VB3, and apparently targeted at the small mobile office space, or even for camping or a garden house. Definitely beats a caravan!

Although judging by this picture, I have my qualms about how comfortable it would be to sleep in.

Happy Easter everyone!

One more portion of pictures from the fair

Well, enjoy one more package of photos from the furniture fair. The fair itself is already over. I am still having lots of pictures from there. To keep you intrigued, I will not be uploading all at one time.

First photos from Milan

OK. As I promised, I am beginning to expose the pictures from Milan Furniture Fair which is being held right now.

That is obviously not all. Stay tuned and you will see even more interesting pictures in the very near future.

The biggest event in the furniture design

We must be lucky enough that the startup of our blog has coincided with the major event in the furniture and interior design world. I am talking about the
Salone Internazionale del Mobile which is held annually in Milan, Italy. For the furniture traders and interior designers, it like a Grammy for music or Oscar for movie. Surprisingly, I am having a somebody who is up there and will be taking some pictures for us to take us aware what is going on. So, guys, stay tuned. Over the next following days, I will publish here a series of photo from Italy.

Sydney Home Show 2011

Sydney Home Show 2011 is on between 19-22 May 2011. How Exciting for all the design lovers out there. Without sounding like an advertisement, sounds like an interesting place to go to if anyone is looking at building, renovating or improving the design of their home. I would really like to see some Kitchen and Bathroom design. I think that is the first thing I notice when I walk into a house. There's this new concept of having a "green bathroom" sounds interesting! Worth checking out.
